Start your weekend with creativity, connection and community at Artz Academy’s Friday evening art class, held every Friday from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

Artz Academy is a relaxed and welcoming social art class designed to bring people together through shared creative experiences. The program supports community connection, encourages participation in the arts and provides a regular opportunity for people to meet others, build confidence and reduce social isolation in a friendly studio environment.

Each week we explore different artists, techniques, materials and creative approaches through practical, hands-on projects. Activities may include drawing, acrylic and watercolour painting, charcoal, pastels, collage, printmaking, mixed media and more.

Beginners through to experienced artists are welcome. Participants can follow the weekly activity, explore their own ideas or simply enjoy dedicated time to create alongside other members of the community.

No previous art experience is required. The focus is on creativity, participation, connection and enjoying the process of making art together.

Materials and activities vary throughout the program, providing opportunities to experiment with new techniques, build confidence and develop your individual creative practice.
